Strategic Plan Unveiled for Regional Collaboration
Senior leaders in the West Michigan region of Trinity Health recently announced the completion of the group’s first strategic plan.
The West Michigan region includes Battle Creek Health System, Mercy Health Partners in Muskegon, Mercy Hospital – Cadillac, Mercy Hospital – Grayling, and Saint Mary’s Health Care in Grand Rapids.
“The regional strategy has been developed to help us compete more effectively in our local markets and ensure that our ministry continues to thrive over the long term,” said Phil McCorkle, Regional Market Executive for Trinity Health – West Michigan.
The plan is structured around seven pillars: Mission, Excellence in the Care Experience, Physician Alignment, Best People / Spiritual Workplace, Growth, Finance, and Multiculturalism.
“By working as a regional team, we can better deliver on Trinity Health goals for quality, patient satisfaction, and physician loyalty,” McCorkle added. “We also can better address health care reform collectively to the benefit of patients.”
The vision of regional collaboration is to keep health care strong locally.
A team of leaders from across West Michigan Ministry Organizations will implement the strategic plan over the course of the next two years. More information will follow as specific plans are developed.
