David Luna Named Vice President Of Multicultural Affairs
Saint Mary’s Health Care is pleased to announce the appointment of David Luna as Vice President of Multicultural Affairs. He will assume his new role in early January 2008.
An organizational change specialist by training, Mr. Luna’s most recent position was as Vice President of Diversity for The Thomson Corporation in Stanford, Connecticut, where he served as the thought leader and practice expert in the area of diversity for the $8 billion international company with 35,000 employees. Previously he had been principal of Diversity Leadership Services in Chicago, where he operated a consulting and coaching practice focused on diversity and leadership development. He has also been in leadership roles for Unicom Corporation (Commonwealth Edison) and for the Latino Institute, both in Chicago. Mr. Luna earned both his Bachelor’s and MBA degrees from the University of Illinois at Chicago and his JD (Juris Doctor) from the University of Chicago.
As Vice President of Multicultural Affairs at Saint Mary’s Health Care, Luna will report to the President and CEO and will be responsible for creating successful strategies that translate into priorities for leading and championing cultural competence, inclusion, and diversity across and at all levels of the organization.
