Clinical Career Path
Patient Transport
Follows established procedures and guidelines in the transportation
of patients to and from a department. Provides a wide variety
of support functions associated with the completion of procedures
and treatments and day-to-day operations. Considers to be
direct patient care.
- High School graduate or equivalent. Six months of patient
care certification as nursing assistant preferred.
- Ability to lift and transport patients via wheelchairs
and gurneys (possibility of direct patient care).
- Good customers skills.
